No quick takes last week because Gabriel and I flew to North Dakota to visit my family! Specifically, we went to my stepgrandma Betty's 80th birthday party. We had so much fun, and it was great to be home! You can take the girl out of North Dakota, but you can't take North Dakota out of the girl. Here are some highlights from the trip.
The birthday girl with her step-great-grandson!
The whole family.
My BIL Drew and my niece Adlee Beth (it was my first time meeting Adlee - what a doll!)
Adlee and my nephew Carter swinging together! Aren't they cute?? They're less than a week apart in age (April 2011 was a very good year for babies, it seems).
Grandma Jan [my mom] got to spend some good quality time with her 11th grandchild.
We also got to visit my dad, my grandma Violet, and few other members of that side of the family, plus Collin's brother and his family.
This is my first cousin Jessica, who's a little older than Elanor, with Gabriel. Like Elanor, she loves babies!
My nephew Connor and his mom Ramona (who is due with Connor's little baby brother or sister this fall!). Connor reminds me so much of Violet, and he was so good with Gabriel.
Finally got me some Potato Oles after craving them for two years. Mmmmmm.
Took this on my way to Mass in Michigan, ND. My initial thought was, "I should hope so!"
While I was gone, Collin took the kids up to Prescott so they could see snow. He almost got caught in a blizzard on his way back. Meanwhile, up in North Dakota, it was an amazing 75 degrees! Talk about a role reversal!

That picture of the babies in the swing is one of the cutest pictures I've ever seen! :)
